Megan Blanchard is a Professional Mermaid Edu-tainer based in Central Texas, blending the magic of storytelling with the power of science to inspire the next generation of water advocates. With a degree in Biology and a background in early childhood education, Megan discovered her calling: connecting children with nature through immersive, engaging experiences.

She founded Traveling Mermaid Productions LLC to bring conservation education to life. Specializing in interactive, kid-friendly programming, her mission is to help children discover the wonders of the natural world—and empower them to protect it. Through partnerships with local nonprofits, Megan ensures that her educational programs are accessible to all, offering low- to no-cost options for families and communities in need.

But her influence doesn't stop there.

Megan is also a published children’s author, a PADI Mermaid Instructor Trainer, a PADI Course Director, and Freediving Instructor, training aspiring divers and merfolk of all ages to explore the underwater world—whether by tail or by tank.
